I've given some minor thought to this and I have generally leant towards cremation or a green tree burial. (Cremation is cheaper. And while it does pollute, in some countries, they have the crematories hooked into the power infrastructure, so in Denmark or Iceland, Great-aunt Lili is helping out with the country's electricity bills.) I'm really not into the idea of being sealed into a big box which will get really pollute-y later. (Even if you managed to seal in everything, the real estate people take up gets kinda crazy.)
I'd often thought I'd like to have my ashes scattered in Arches National Park where I could get a quick start on my reincarnative cycle by coming back as cryptobiotic soil. Whee for the cryptobiotic soil.
I did like the idea of being turned into pencils, as in the UK example of this video. As an artist, it would be awesome to live on in art. :)
