The basic process to blocking Facebook's Beacon ad service, is to (if you use Firefox or similar) to install the Blocksite extension and blacklist http://www.facebook.com/* If you use Opera, this can be done with Opera's built-in blocking features. If you use Internet Explorer...well, you shouldn't really be using it.
